The 5yr Law Students of University of Allahabad brought laurels to the city by winning All India Moot Court Competition held at University Law College Bangalore.Moot Court basically means a mock court set up with case being taken up. It is the oral presentation of a legal issue or problem against an opposing counsel and before a judge. Moot court does not involve actual testimony by witnesses or the presentation of evidence, but is focused solely on the application of the law to a common set of evidentiary assumptions to which the competitors must be introduced.

The participants included Taniya Pandey and Shreya Gupta as speakers and Karan Kapoor as the researcher. In the final round they had to compete with National Law Univesity Jodhpur. There were altogether 32 teams participating in the competiton from all across India which inluded pretigious Law Schools like Symbiosis law School,Pune, PGLC,Mumbai and Rizvi Law College Mumbai. The moot problem was based on Constitutional law and the participants did expremely well. The competition was presided over by the judges of Karnataka High Court Justice Ram Mohan Reddy and Justice G Ramesh.

Law is one of the most sought after career option among today youth and infact Ms Taniya Panday and Ms Shreya Gupta both ex students of Career Launcher Allahabad were quite elated with this opportunity and gave due credit to University of Allahabad for providing them platform of this level.Career launcher Allahabad under the able guidance of Mr Gaurav Agrawal started off with CLAT preparatory classes since 2005 and has produced many able lawyers., Just two months back even CL Allahabad organised a similar kind of competition and it was highly appreciated by the students as it provided a glimpse of the actual law court.
