Career Launcher Allahabad played host to the biggest conclave of B-Schools of India in recent times on 17^th December 2010. The venue was Hotel Milan Palace, Civil Lines Allahabad and the event started at 10 a.m. and ended at 3 p.m. Organised to benefit thousands of students who have or would be taking the CAT/MAT/XLRI/SNAP Examinations etc. in 2010-2011, the event featured professors and alumni from prestigious B-Schools like Kelloggs, IIMs, XLRI etc. like Mr. Shymal Gupta, Mr. Sandeep Sharma, Dr. R. S. Singh, Mr. Rishabha Nayyar, Mr. Sreenivasan, Mr. J.D. Singh. etc. who gave a series of lectures on various management relevant topics like ‘MBA in recession’, 'Marketing as a Career', 'Tips for GD/PI', ‘Life in the Corporate world’, ‘MBA in 2011-12’, ‘Various Management Specializations’ etc. to encourage and ignite the young minds at the threshold of their careers. They also answered the queries of the students and guided them. They did one-on-one counselling to further enlighten the students. They gave requisite information to the students regarding the forms to be filled, based on their examination scores.

The event also showcased more than 30 B-Schools of India from Delhi, Greater Noida, Pune, Bangalore etc., like SRMS-IBS, GL-Bajaj, Accurate, DSPSR New Delhi, GIBM Pune, IBSAR Mumbai, Jaipuria Lucknow, GIIPM Noida, Alliance University Bengaluru, IWSB Noida to name just a few.

This was the first major event after the CAT/MAT examinations involving prestigious B-Schools this year. The overwhelming feedback was that such events went a long way in helping the students in realising their dreams and goals. This event was held under the able stewardship of Mr. Gaurav Agarwal, Head Panacea Group and Mr. Abhishek Srivastava, Joint Director Career Launcher and was conducted by Mr. Ajoy Chakraborty, Head Corporate Communications. The Center Head Career Launcher, Mr. Shashank Somvanshi further informed that an overwhelming number of students visited the Allahabad centre for registering themselves and collected their entry passes.

How does a bond like this grow? Obviously class-room sessions help, the innumerable doubt sessions help, the various interactive events help, but what really facilitates this bonding is some special gesture so unique, so endearing that it stays in the heart and minds of that CL student in particular and the other students in general. Yeah, I am talking about the recent campaign ‘Birthday Blast’ that is being run at the center. Rishab of PEX ’11 got the shock of his life on his birthday on 25^th November when he got a call from the Center Manager Ayushi Ma’am (some students insist on calling her ‘Center-ki-dulari’!), inviting him to the center. Well, Rishab, got a pleasant surprise when he was greeted at the center with a warm smile by Ayushi and Sanjeev sir and given a bouquet. His happiness knew no bounds when he was asked to cut the ‘Birthday Cake’ in the presence of the Academic Head Sanjeev sir while snaps were taken by the Center Head Shashank sir and the birthday song sung. I am sure Rishab wouldn’t have had an experience like this ever in any of his schools, colleges or coaching institutes! To say that he was overwhelmed would be an understatement! In fact he would have related the incident to his friends and peers too who would now eagerly await their own ‘Birthday Blast’ at CL!

Career Launcher Allahabad under the aegis of Panacea Career & Management Pvt Ltd organized a Mega 2-Day-20 hour Seminar for CAT-2010 aspirants termed “Verbalholic” on 15 & 16 September 2010 from 9 a.m. onwards at NCZCC Allahabad. The key-note speaker was Mr. Abhishek Srivastava, a National level CAT trainer.
Mr. Abhishek Srivastava has had the proud privilege of training more than two hundred students who have been selected at the prestigious IIMs (A, B, C, L, I, K, S). Several of his students have been alumni of world famous institutes like Harvard & Kellogg. He produced CAT toppers in 2003 & 2004. More than 750 of his students were directly picked from the campuses & are now making their mark in the corporate world.This one-of-a-kind seminar was last held in 2008. It was unique because the duration was a marathon 10 hours on each day. It covered the entire gamut of the Verbal Ability section of the CAT examination. Some ex-students remarked that an increase by 30%-40% in the Mock scores was guaranteed after attending the seminar. Besides this, doubts on all the three sections were discussed thread bare. To sum up, it was an awesome seminar where Abhishek sir was extremely successful in instilling hope and confidence amongst the students who, for the first time got the belief that IIMs were not the distant dream that they were made out to be..

“Idiot ways to crack CAT hits Allahabad”

Mr. Akash Gautam, International level PDP trainer and Limca Book Record holder for excellence in English vocabulary held a seminar titled “Idiot ways to crack CAT” on 26 July 2010 at K.P. Community Center, targeting CAT 2010 and 2011 specifically. This Mega event was held under the aegis of Career Launcher Allahabad.

‘Veni-Vidi-Vici’. He came, he saw and he conquered. Allahabad was witness to an event of awesome magnitude for the third year running. For students who are used to dull, dreary and drab seminars, it was an afternoon which would be etched firmly in their minds forever. Akash gave such amazing tips on the learning and the retention process, that it sent the confidence of the students soaring. That preparation for CAT could be so much fun, was incomprehensible for most students; that is until now. The signature tune of ‘All iz well electrified the atmosphere and made the entire ambience rocking, since the overwhelming majority of the audience consisted of the generation next. With his characteristic wit, he kept the audience in splits. To keep an impatient generation captive for close to four hours was an achievement in itself. The entire hall was chock-a-bloc with students with even standing place at a premium. A conservative estimate put it at more than a thousand students.

Akash shared with the students 7 Mantras to succeed in CAT. These mantras have been highly researched by Career Launcher, the premium MBA entrance preparation institution, after having trained more than 10 lakh MBA aspirants in the last 15 years. These mantras are not known normally and gave an inside view on the strategies to combat the CAT. The whole philosophy behind the seminar was to enjoy the preparation for CAT. Successful students accompanied by their proud parents, past students, staff of CL Allahabad and a broad cross section of the society were witness to a that was held at Hotel Kanhashyamon 24^th June 2010 for the sharp lawyers and judges of the future, namely the Law School achievers who appeared for CLAT-10 and other similar entrance tests this year. The common thread was that all these successful aspirants were part of LST-09/10, a special prep course run by Career Launcher. The Celebration Restaurant, the venue for the event wore a festive look as the entire Career Launcher staff, members of the press & media were out in strength to welcome the honoured guests, this case the 40 odd students who had lived up to the credo of ‘neighbours envy and owners’ pride’.

The Director of Career Launcher Allahabad, Mr. Rohit Mishra gave a brief outline of the Career Launcher success story through 8 long years.
